Abbey Road editors are assigned to a project as soon as the project is recorded and are responsible for the projects development. Whether for stereo or multi-track, CD, DVD or film, the key skills needed for successful editing are attention to detail, expertise and flexibility.
Our editors can prepare up to 96 tracks of audio for mixing to stereo or surround. Once the piece is mixed the editors will compile and master the finished soundtrack for release on CD, DVD or SACD. Increasingly, the editing team is required to work to picture, either for film soundtracks or DVDs.
The editing rooms at Abbey Road are designed to monitor in both 5.1 and stereo, as well as being equipped with the latest state of the art equipment. This also makes them ideal for small scale classical mixing projects. Our award winning editing team managed by Simon Kiln, is classically trained with the ability to score-read and understand the absolute necessity for attention to detail, expertise and flexibility.
We can offer an all-inclusive production, recording and editing package if required. Our editors are also available to edit on location.
