The naughties have been a celebration of the success of the world’s oldest recording studio complex being as successful now as at anytime in its long and illustrious history. Abbey Road’s 75th anniversary 2006 and the 25th anniversary of film scoring work in 2005.

Now a complex offering recording, mixing, mastering, remastering, archiving, asset management, DVD authoring, interactive design, video and audio services and a supply and distribution system Abbey Road continues to be at the cutting-edge of new technologies and innovations, and remains the studio of choice for the world’s premier creative talent.

Film projects include the award winning Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring, Lord Of The Rings: Two Towers and Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King. Harry Potter & The Chamber Of Secrets, Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone, Love Actually, Lara Croft: Tombraider 2, Johnny English, The Hours, Gangs Of New York, Shrek, Chicken Run and The Golden Compass.

DVD and Blu ray projects include U2, ‘Go Home, Live at Slane Castle’, Coldplay, ‘Live 2003’, Robbie Williams, ‘What We Did Last Summer’, John Lennon ‘Legends’, John Lennon, ‘Gimme Some Truth’ and Freddie Mercury, ‘The Solo Collection’

Some of the high profile artists to have recorded, mixed or mastered in the studios in the 00’s are Oasis, Starsailor, Manic Street Preachers, Nick Cave, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Snow Patrol, Massive Attack, Kasabian and Primal Scream The launch of the intimate sessions ‘Live From Abbey Road’ have aired in over 120 countries around the world and are filming their second series.

In 2004 Abbey Road launched a series of add-ons and plug-ins that replicate the classic EMI outboard units. These plug-ins represent the next chapter in Abbey Road’s history of technical innovation. Now any studio in the world can get a piece of the Abbey Road Sound.
